Former Yakan TESDA director is new member of SPDA board

DAVAO CITY (26 October 2021)- President Rodrigo Roa Duterte recently appointed former Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Basilan Provincial Director Hansaman ‘Sam’ Adang Salasim as the new member of the Southern Philippines Development Authority’s (SPDA) Board of Directors.

 

Salasim, a Yakan who hails from Isabela City, Basilan Province, was a former officer of the Philippine Constabulary (PC) and the fourth member of the SPDA Board to represent the private sector. A Sheikh or leader of the pilgrims during the annual pilgrimage to Islam’s holiest city,  Mecca, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was sworn in Monday by SPDA Administrator and Chief Executive Officer Abdulghani ‘Gerry’ Ajul Salapuddin.
