GAD Local Learning Hub on Women’s Economic Empowerment

ILOILO CITY, PANAY ISLAND (04 February 2026) – Members of the Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System of the Southern Philippines Development Authority (SPDA) based in Davao City led by Deputy Administrator Munap H. Pacio  had visited the Municipalities of Oton and Miagao as part of their GAD Local Learning Hub on Women’s Economic Empowerment on February 4, 2026.

This benchmarking activity was in pursuance to the implementation of Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) and the said visit had provided an opportunity to gain insights into local initiatives and best practices that promote women’s economic participation while strengthening collaboration and knowledge-sharing among stakeholders committed to gender-responsive development.

The 15-member SPDA GAD Focal Point System delegation included Finance Manager Ersan Warad, Corporate Affairs Department Manager Norhan Salih, MLO Manager Atty. Datu Reza Sinsuat, GSLD Chief Monaliza Ampuan, Budget Officer Albir Biruar, Division Chief Marlon Saloma, Division Chief Engr. Modiff Gampong, Chief Accountant Eduard Sumergido, HRMO Meen-Reiza Pacio, Acting Division Chief Engr. Aigie Flores, HRMO Razaele Relegano, Administrative Officer Al-Raiyan Lamla, Bookkeeper Amerah Saada Pandapatan, and Cashier Ana Nova Amil.
