SPDA inks pact with corn and soybean grower

DAVAO CITY (26 May 2021)- The signing of  the Development Agreement today made and entered into by Southern Philippines Development Authority (SPDA) and Lanao Del Sur Corn Development Corporation (LDSCDC) has finally paved the way towards the start of cultivation of about 2,000 hectares for the yellow corn and soybean production within the 25,000 hectare SPDA proclaimed property in the municipalities of Wao and Amai Manabilang, Lanao del Sur.

 

Lanao Del Sur Corn Development Corporation (LDSCDC) Director and Authorized Representative, Wilson T. De Vera, together with Eduardo E. dela Fuente, Jr., Vice President for Mindanao Operations of ASPAC Precision AG Group Company, LDSCDC’s management partner, have sealed partnership today with SPDA at the Authority’s main office here in Davao City.

 

SPDA is a government-owned and controlled corporation mandated to catalyze the development of Mindanao and is represented by Administrator and Chief Executive Officer Abdulghani “Gerry” A. Salapuddin.

 

Witnesses during the signing of the development agreement today are Operations Department Manager Cris B. Dagala; Corporate Affairs Department Manager Virginia L. Uy; Finance and Administrative Department Manager Merlinda G. Abante; Chief Accountant Norhaysa H. Dipatuan; Division Chief Engr. Modiff Dhaiffallah T. Gampong; Corporate Board Secretary Thelma Silfide C. Alicaway; and Administrative Officer V Monaliza S. Ampuan.

 

Amid the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic which started to batter the whole world since last year, the signing of the Development Agreement today signals a new hope for economic recovery in this part of Southern Philippines. (Celestino B. Siglos, Ed.D.)
