Project Description:
- Established in 1982 as one of the six (6) aquaculture development projects that would uplift the socio-eco-political condition of Liguasan Marsh area and to provide low income groups like rebel returnees with livelihood.
- The Ice Plant and Cold Storage is situated in a 400 sq.m. lot donated by the municipal government of Pikit, within the public market.
- With a 10-tons capacity, it aims to exploit the fishery and agricultural resources of the marsh in an extensive food production programme.
- The plant has to temporarily shut down due to erratic power supply in the area.
