SPDA TO BUILD CONVENTION HALL AND HOTEL IN LAMITAN CITY

LAMITAN CITY, BASILAN PROVINCE (15 April 2026) – Southern Philippines Development Authority (SPDA) Administrator and Chief Executive Officer Abdulghani ‘Gerry’ Ajul Salapuddin has led today in the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the ambitious three-storey SPDA Convention Hall and Hotel & Restaurant project in the promising Sta. Clara, Lamitan City, Basilan Province.

Local officials in this city disclosed that this 50-million peso project of the Authority is seen to boost tourism, further attract investments, and create job opportunities in the area, thus, strengthening the city’s economic growth.

The ceremonial signing of the contract between SPDA and JRAZ Construction, Inc. was also held during this significant event. (Celestino B. Siglos, EdD)
